NorthStar Memorial Group is seeking a compassionate Staff Associate for Skylawn Funeral Home in Half Moon Bay, CA. This part-time role involves direct interaction with client families during their time of need and supporting the setup and facilitation of viewings, funeral services, and related events.

Responsibilities include assisting funeral directors, welcoming families with warmth, moving casketed items, transporting flowers and urns, preparing venues, and operating vehicles as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
• Attentive listener with compassionate approach for diverse client families.
• Confidence in speaking in front of groups when needed.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and valid California driver's license.
• Funeral service related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support funeral directors by assisting with tasks to ensure smooth services.
• Welcome and engage client families and guests with warmth and professionalism.
• Aid in moving casketed deceased and related items within the facility.
• Handle transportation and delivery of flowers, caskets, urns, photos, and mementos.
• Prepare and arrange chapel or service venue and perform post-event cleanup.
• Operate funeral-related vehicles, including hearses, for processions and events.
