Job summary

Community Resource Network of Florida is seeking a caring, dependable companion to support a young male with I/DD in the community. This independent contractor role offers flexible scheduling and a commitment to promoting independence and safety.

The caregiver will assist with ADLs, transport to appointments, outings, meal prep, and daily progress notes, while upholding dignity and respectful communication. The position is paid at $16/hour for about 10 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening.
• Provide proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training.
• Have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Are 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities.
• Assisting with personal hygiene tasks.
• Meal preparation and light cleaning.
• Ensuring individual's safety and maintaining a safe living environment.
• Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individual to social events and community outings.
• Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization.
• Complete daily progress notes.

The individual is a young male in need of a companion to support with ADL's, supervision and transportation in community outings.

Schedule

10 hours per week, flexible schedule
