Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank is seeking a Temporary Part-Time Community Research Assistant to support on-site, in-person data collection and neighbor feedback across the 11-county service area. The role requires surveying, co-facilitating listening sessions, and assisting with data processing as needed.

The position is funded for up to three years with an anticipated commitment of 3 to 10 hours per week at a pay rate of $20 per hour. Some travel to distribution sites will be required.

Competenze

• Academic background in data collection, analysis and interpretation.
• Demonstrated experience with survey research preferred.
• Interest in addressing food security and social determinants of health preferred.
• Ability to work with diverse populations across age groups.

Mansioni

• Facilitate on-location, in-person collection of survey feedback from neighbors participating in food assistance programs throughout the Food Bank’s 11-county service area.
• Administer feedback collection activities in a way that is respectful to neighbors, accessible, minimizes bias, and aligns with best practices.
• Support Community Data Analyst and other Programs Department staff to meet established feedback collection goals and objectives.
• Contribute to design of feedback collection methods including providing input on language and methodology.
• Collaborate with the Community Data Analyst and partner organizations to facilitate listening sessions, focus groups, and other qualitative data collection activities.
• Transcribe data from paper-based or other analog sources into digital formats, as needed.
• Assist with data cleaning, organization, and formatting to support accurate analysis and interpretation.
• Treat all neighbors with respect and kindness, maintaining dignity while supporting food assistance services.
• Other data collection support tasks as assigned.
