Job summary

Allegheny County DHS is seeking a Field Worker to collect data on encampments and unsheltered sleeping locations in the Pittsburgh area. The role reports to the Manager of Client Experience Analytics and uses a survey app to document conditions along predefined routes.

The position is part-time and hourly, requiring a bicycle and willingness to bike around 15 miles weekly. It is performed in collaboration with Community Family Advocates and Allegheny County DHS on-site in Pittsburgh.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with encampment occupants respectfully.
• Comfortable travelling by bike and completing surveys in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to follow processes and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly routes on bike and collect data on encampments and unsheltered locations.
• Record observations via survey tool and communicate with supervisor regularly.
