Job summary

Allegheny County Department of Human Services is seeking a Field Worker to collect data on encampments and unsheltered sleeping locations in the Pittsburgh area. The role supports understanding trends and follow-up needs, reporting to the Manager of Client Experience Analytics in the Office of Analytics and Technology.

This is a part-time, hourly position with up to 10 hours per week, with flexible but consistent hours.

Qualifications

• Owns a bicycle or access to transportation
• Comfortable walking, biking or riding a scooter in city streets and trails
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to follow process and maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Bike around designated routes in Pittsburgh to collect encampment data
• Use a survey app to document conditions of encampments and unsheltered locations
• Provide regular updates to supervisor and county staff on collected information
