Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a psychiatrist to join the Assertive Community Treatment Team in Dunn, NC for a part-time, 12-hour weekly role. You will lead clinical care for individuals with serious mental illness, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver community-based, recovery-focused services.

The ideal candidate has an MD or DO, active NC license, board certification in Psychiatry, and at least 5 years of experience.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with an active, unrestricted NC license.
• Board Certification in Psychiatry (ASAM certification or eligibility preferred).
• 5+ years experience treating individuals with mental illness.
• Expertise in treating schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar I disorder with psychosis.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management.
• Deliver outpatient psychotherapy in community settings.
• Coordinate care between mental health, substance use, and primary healthcare services; consult with primary care providers.
• Guide and support ACT team members in clinical decision-making.
