Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a part-time Psychiatrist to join our Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) in Dunn, NC. The role involves community-based psychiatric care, medication management, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to support stability and recovery.

The ideal candidate will have an MD or DO, an active NC license, board certification in psychiatry, and 5+ years of experience treating serious mental illness.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) with an active, unrestricted NC license.
• Board Certification in Psychiatry (ASAM certification or eligibility preferred).
• 5+ years experience treating individuals with mental illness.
• Experience treating serious mental illness: schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar I disorder with psychosis.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management.
• Deliver outpatient psychotherapy in community settings.
• Coordinate between mental health, substance use, and primary care services.
• Consult with primary care providers to support health needs.
• Guide ACT team members in clinical decision‑making.
• Deliver community-based, person-centered care.

In this role, you will:

Clinical Services:

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management.
• Deliver outpatient psychotherapy in community settings.

Integrated, Whole‑Person Care:

• Ensure coordination between mental health, substance use, and primary healthcare services.

Required Qualifications:

• Expertise in treating serious mental illness, including:
