Girl Scouts - North Carolina Coastal Pines is seeking a part-time Community Engagement Specialist to bring Girl Scout programming directly to girls in Durham, NC. You will lead hands-on activities that build confidence, teamwork, and leadership in an engaging, welcoming setting.

Hours: afternoons 2:00–6:00 pm, Monday–Friday; travel to schools and community sites. The role supports recruitment, membership goals, and program reporting, with a flexible, meaningful part-time schedule.

Qualifikationen

• Must live in North Carolina, within or near Durham, NC.
• Available for a flexible part-time schedule Monday - Friday between 2:00 - 6:00 pm.
• Travel to schools and community locations within Durham, NC is required.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
• Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.
• Must become a member of Girl Scouts of the USA upon hire.

Aufgaben

• Lead engaging activities at schools and community locations using established Girl Scout curriculum and resources.
• Connect with girls and create an inclusive environment where every girl feels supported.
• Prepare for programs by gathering supplies and reviewing activity plans.
• Work with school staff and community partners to support programming.
• Track attendance, registrations, collect participant feedback, and maintain program records.
• Help girls stay connected with troops and other Girl Scout opportunities.
• Most work occurs during afternoon programming hours, with occasional planning or events.
