Job summary

Journey Bank, a community bank with a local footprint, seeks a Community Banking Associate to support paying and receiving functions at the East Street Office in Bloomsburg. This part-time position offers on-site work and a friendly environment within a trusted local team.

Key duties include greeting customers, processing deposits and payments, selling treasurer checks and money orders, and supporting risk and compliance through daily banking procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or specialized banking training.
• Prior cash handling, banking experience, and customer service experience preferred.
• Moderate reading, writing and grammar skills; analytical and mathematical skills.
• Proficient communicative and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient eye-hand coordination and ability to operate office machines.

Responsibilities

• Greet and serve customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Accept deposits, cash checks and accept utility bill payments.
• Sell treasurer checks, money orders, etc.
• Accept loan payments, safe deposit box rent and other related payments.
• Process night deposits and mail deposits.
• Maintain awareness of new business opportunities and refer customers to appropriate staff.
• Adhere to internal policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
