Job summary

Journey Bank is seeking a part-time Community Banking Associate to work on-site at the East Street Office in Bloomsburg. This role supports paying and receiving functions and delivers friendly, accurate service to our local customers.

Essential duties include greeting customers, handling deposits and payments, selling checks and money orders, and coordinating with staff to uphold regulatory and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; banking education or training preferred.
• Prior cash handling, banking experience and customer service background desirable.
• Good reading, writing, math and analytical skills; effective communication.
• Able to operate office machines and lift up to approx. 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet and serve customers in a friendly, courteous manner.

• Sell treasurer checks, money orders and related products.
• Take loan payments, safe deposit box rent and other payments.
• Process night and mail deposits; refer customers to appropriate staff.

Community Banking Associate - Part-time

We are seeking a part-time Community Banking Associate to join our team and work on-site at our East Street Office, Bloomsburg.

The Community Banking Associate performs a variety of duties to support the paying and receiving functions of the community branch.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Greet and serve customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Accept deposits, cash checks and accept utility bill payments.
• Sell treasurer checks, money orders, etc.
• Accept loan payments, safe deposit box rent and other related payments.
• Process night deposits and mail deposits.
• Maintains awareness of new business opportunities with customers, actively refers customers to appropriate customer service personnel.
• Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness, and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g. Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc.

Requirements:

• - A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; specialized banking education or training.
• - Previous cash handling, banking experience, and customer service experience preferred.
• - Moderate reading, writing and grammar skills, analytical and mathematical skills.
• - Proficient communicative and interpersonal skills.
• - Proficient eye-hand coordination.
• - Ability to operate various office machines.
• - Ability to lift approximately 50lbs.

Hours: Monday - Friday, Some Saturdays, 25-29 hours per week, based on East Street Office Hours.
