Job summary

Journey Bank is seeking a part-time Community Banking Associate to work on-site at the Millville Community Office. The role supports paying and receiving functions, greets customers, processes deposits and payments, and helps identify new business opportunities while adhering to bank policies and regulatory requirements.

The position offers the chance to contribute to local community financial journeys, with a focus on service, accuracy, and customer care in a community banking setting.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; specialized banking education or training.
• Previous cash handling, banking experience, and customer service experience preferred.
• Moderate reading, writing and grammar skills, analytical and mathematical skills.
• Proficient communicative and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient eye-hand coordination.
• Ability to operate various office machines.
• Ability to lift approximately 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet and serve customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Accept deposits, cash checks and accept utility bill payments.
• Sell treasurer checks, money orders, etc.
• Accept loan payments, safe deposit box rent and other related payments.
• Process night deposits and mail deposits.
• Identify new business opportunities and refer customers to appropriate staff.
• Adhere to internal policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
