Job summary

Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington, NC seeks an instructor to deliver ACE CNC machining bootcamp instruction to students. The role includes planning lessons, scheduling activities using ACE curriculum, and providing hands-on demonstrations with appropriate assignments.

The candidate will maintain attendance records, complete required paperwork, and ensure teaching area policies align with CFCC guidelines. Experience focusing on machining operations and safety is preferred.

Qualifications

• An AAS degree is required with major course work in machining technology or related field.
• Three or more years of experience in the machining industry/environment dealing specifically with the manufacture of mechanical components or 18 months industrial machining experience and 3 or more years teaching machining, either full or part-time.

Responsibilities

• Provide ACE bootcamp instruction to students
• Prepare lesson plans and schedule classroom activities using ACE curriculum and guidelines
• Provide classroom demonstrations on various technology; develop assignments to provide hands on experience as appropriate
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance
• Maintain and submit all required paperwork in a neat, accurate and timely fashion, including but not limited to: class rosters, pay sheets, attendance forms and grade rosters
• Oversee the implementation of policies and procedures related to required teaching area and in accordance with CFCC policies and guidelines
• Assess the relevancy and impact of various lessons and recommend improvements as needed
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
