Job summary

Qualifications

  • An AAS degree is required with major course work in machining technology or related field.
  • Three or more years of experience in the machining industry/environment dealing specifically with the manufacture of mechanical components or 18 months industrial machining experience and 3 or more years teaching machining, either full or part-time.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ACE bootcamp instruction to students
  • Prepare lesson plans and schedule classroom activities using ACE curriculum and guidelines
  • Provide classroom demonstrations on various technology; develop assignments to provide hands on experience as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance
  • Maintain and submit all required paperwork in a neat, accurate and timely fashion, including but not limited to: class rosters, pay sheets, attendance forms and grade rosters
  • Oversee the implementation of policies and procedures related to required teaching area and in accordance with CFCC policies and guidelines
  • Assess the relevancy and impact of various lessons and recommend improvements as needed
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job description

DEFINITION:

Provide America’s Cutting (ACE) Edge CNC machining bootcamp instruction to studentsusing multiple teaching strategies and perform accurate assessment of student learning.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:

  • Receives general supervision from AVP, Economic & Workforce Development and/or Workforce Training Coordinator.

  • Exercises no supervision.

ESSENTIAL AND OTHER IMPORTANT FUNCTIONS STATEMENTS:

Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Essential Functions:

  1. Provide ACE bootcamp instruction to students

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING GUIDELINES:

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Minimum Education/Training:

Minimum Experience:

5 years of experience
