Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in Milford, CT is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. You will provide attentive daily care, assist residents with activities of daily living, and help maintain a warm, home-like environment that supports dignity and comfort.

Required is a valid CNA/HHA/LNA license. Prior skilled nursing or dementia care experience is preferred but not required; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA/HHA/LNA license required.
• Experience preferred but not required in skilled nursing or assisted living.
• Dementia care experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Document care and report health or behavior changes to staff.
• Engage residents in meaningful activities and provide emotional support.
• Use customer service skills to ensure residents receive quality care.
• Other duties as needed.

CNA Duties & Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in resident health or behavior to appropriate staff.
• Engaging residents in meaningful activities and providing emotional support.
• Utilizing customer service skills to ensure that residents receive exceptional and meaningful care.
• Other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Valid CNA/HHA/LNA license required
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living community is preferred but not required
• Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired
