Job summary

Good Samaritan in Stillwater, MN, is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant (CNA) for day shifts on 8-hour schedules. The role includes resident-centered care, daily living activities, vital signs, and assistance with meals and mobility, under RN supervision.

You will participate in infection prevention, documentation, and support of resident wellness programs, with opportunities for 401(k) and other benefits. Prior CNA certification and ongoing CE credits are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Required CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or in process within four months and training provided by facility.
• Satisfactorily completes yearly competency testing and maintains continuing education credits (12 hours annually).
• May be registered with UAP where applicable; driving responsibilities may apply per Sanford policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
• Record vital signs and document resident interactions and outcomes.
• Assist with meals, dining experience, and hydration; support wellness and recreational activities.
• Assist and communicate changes in resident condition to charge nurse; support infection control and PPE use.
