Qualifications

• Immunization and non-vaccine injectable certification required depending on area of practice.
• Credentialing and privileging required depending on area of practice.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees pharmaceutical care, including retrieving and evaluating biomedical literature and designing medication therapy regimens.
• Provides patient education and counseling on therapy, adverse effects, and compliance.
• Designs, monitors, and evaluates patient-specific regimens based on biomedical literature.
• Reviews and interprets medication orders and prescriptions, ensuring safety and accuracy.
• Participates in medication safety and quality improvement activities and supports formulary adherence.
• Prepares, dispenses, and ensures proper storage/handling of medications; adheres to regulations.
• Serves as mentor/preceptor for students and residents; assists with performance evaluations.
