Job summary

CALRegional is seeking a part-time Clinical Medical Assistant Skills Assistant to support the CMA program in Merced, CA. The role aids student learning, follows an established course outline, and helps maintain skill labs under the Lead instructor.

Schedule: 8–10 weeks, Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30 pm–9:30 pm. Requires 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, familiarity with medical terminology, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a related field.
• Familiar with A&P, Medical Terminology, Basic Pharmacology and Medical Math.
• Front office experience.
• Back office procedures EKG, Urine, Vitals, BPs, Temps, Injections, Adult-Pediatric, minor wound trays, and bandaging experience.
• No teaching experience required.
• Must be energetic and able to deliver instruction passionately.
• Ability to mentor students and hold them accountable to program standards.
• Comfortable with computers and technology.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Aid student learning through exemplary instruction by following an established course outline.
• Aid in student learning outcomes.
• Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter area and effective teaching/learning strategies.
• Maintain appropriate standards of professionalism and conduct.
• Aid all required skill labs with the Lead instructor.
