Qualifications

• State license as Nevada Clinical Laboratory Technologist or Technologist within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Demonstrated leadership, oral and written communication, and problem-solving ability.
• Highly organized, efficient, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Follow Laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analysis, reporting, and maintaining records.
• Identify problems that may adversely affect test results and correct or escalate.
• Participate in CMS mandated proficiency testing and maintain records.
• Adhere to quality control policies and document calibrations and maintenance.
• Prioritize specimen processing for STAT, Time Critical, and routine testing to minimize turnaround times.
• Contribute to quality improvement through data collection and monitoring of quality indicators.
• Provide accurate, timely, and professional communication to health care providers regarding critical results.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
