Responsibilities

• Performs tests on specimens following laboratory procedures to ensure quality and time guidelines.
• Collects specimens as required with sensitivity to patient needs.
• Ensures specimens are properly identified, collected, labeled and stored.
• Performs instrument maintenance according to section procedures.
• Independently perform routine and/or more complex Quality Control, Linearity, Calibration, and Delta Checks on laboratory equipment.
• May act as a resource for other team members on advanced tasks and patient concerns; maintains inventory.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment.
• Follows department policy maintaining all necessary records and documentation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
