Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related field required.
• ASCP certification or eligible and obtained within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Knows, understands, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors and decisions.
• Demonstrates knowledge of safety policies and departmental procedures.
• Performs, records, and reviews scheduled quality control data and takes corrective action when needed.
• Maintains and troubleshoots equipment; documents instrument performance.
• Verifies specimen labeling and integrity before testing.
• Performs low, medium, and high complexity testing according to protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Reports test results accurately and communicates critical results per protocol.
• Prioritizes work to maintain efficiency and assists other areas as needed.
• Performs phlebotomy when required by laboratory policies.
• Monitors inventory and ensures supplies are available.
• Reviews work of clinical laboratory assistants and executes corrective actions if required.
• Works independently and troubleshoots analyzers with support as needed.
