Job summary

Hotel Chocolat in Chicago is seeking a part-time Sales Associate to welcome customers and deliver exceptional service in our store at 1617 N. Damen Ave. The role offers 18-24 hours per week with competitive pay at $18/hour and flexible schedules.

You will develop product knowledge, run tastings, support stock and store operations, and act as a Brand Ambassador to ensure a welcoming, well-presented store aligned with Retail Excellence.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is not essential but positive attitude matters
• Teamwork in a retail setting is valued
• Merchandising: present displays according to guidelines
• Strong communication to understand customer needs
• Willingness to learn about products and cocoa background

Responsibilities

• Customer Experience: deliver excellent in-store experiences and assist customers
• Brand: act as a Brand Ambassador and share cocoa knowledge
• Product knowledge: learn product range and allergens, run tastings and demonstrations
• Stock: assist with deliveries, maintain stockroom safety, keep floors tidy
• Operations: ensure health & safety, hygiene, security, and store opening/closing as needed
