Job summary

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Swim Coach to join our team in Sumner, WA. You will instruct in beginning to advanced swimming and safety skills, prepare lesson plans, and conduct practices under YMCA guidelines.

Responsibilities include documenting attendance and progress, communicating with parents, and ensuring safety during sessions. Part-time role with wage $18.00-$20.00 per hour, up to 25 hours weekly at Gordon Family YMCA.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years related experience preferred.
• Active recreational coaching style required.
• Demonstrate swim instructor skills per YMCA standards.

Responsibilities

• Safely conduct swim practices with proper stroke techniques.
• Submit athlete meet information using Team Manager software.
• Maintain accurate attendance and skill progression records.
• Assist with answering parent questions and concerns.
