The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Part-Time Child Watch Attendant at the Pearl Street Family YMCA in Tacoma, WA. You will create a safe, caring, and engaging environment for children while parents use the facilities.

Candidates should be at least 15 years old with comfort around kids; CPR/First Aid/AED certifications are preferred. Wage is $17.13 per hour, with benefits listed by the YMCA.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 15 or older.
• Comfort and confidence working with children.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications preferred.
• Must pass Background and Reference checks per WA State Fair Chance Act.
• Committed to diversity and inclusive environment.
• Willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day.

Responsibilities

• Care for children ages 6 weeks to 7 years.
• Monitor drop-off and pick-up of children.
• Play actively with children, adapting activities as needed.
• Communicate with parents about behavior and safety.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the child watch area.
