Part-Time Child Care Staff – Summer Camp Program

Location: 677 W. White Hall Road, State College 16801
Pay: $14 - $15.5 per hour
Qualifications Needed
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- High school diploma plus 30 college credits in an education or human services field
- High school diploma plus 600 or more hours of secondary training
- High school diploma, 15 college credits in an education or human services field, and one year of experience working with children
- High school diploma and two years of experience working with children

Responsibilities
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of PA Department of Public Welfare (DPW) regulations
- Supervise children at all times and remain physically present with assigned groups
- Create engaging, inclusive activities that reflect individual interests, abilities, and learning styles
- Assist with the development and implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum and camp programming
- Actively participate in games, activities, and special programs, including outdoor activities and swimming
- Communicate daily with parents as needed
- Use positive behavior guidance techniques such as redirection, positive reinforcement, and proactive guidance
- Complete required administrative paperwork (meal counts, attendance, incident reports, supply requests, etc.)
Pay and Benefits
- $14.00 – $15.50 per hour, based on experience
