Job summary

Sticky Fingers Cooking Tampa is seeking enthusiastic Chef Instructors to lead after-school cooking enrichment for ages 3–18. This part-time role focuses on weekday afternoons, delivering hands-on classes, building confidence, and teaching basic kitchen skills in a fun, engaging environment.

You’ll receive curriculum, recipes, training, and a mobile cooking kit. Compensation is $55 per one-hour class plus grocery reimbursement; schedule typically 2–5 PM Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Teaching: lead hour-long cooking enrichment classes for groups of approximately 8–14 students.
• Classroom management: maintain a safe, organized learning space during activities.
• Communication: clearly explain recipes, safety rules, and expectations to kids and parents.
• Leadership: guide and engage students, manage group dynamics, and foster a positive environment.
• Culinary skills: basic cooking techniques, measurement, food safety, and pantry skills.
• Time management: arrive early, manage class flow, and complete setup/cleanup efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Lead hour-long cooking enrichment classes for groups of approximately 8–14 students.
• Guide students through kid-tested recipes and age-appropriate kitchen techniques.
• Teach practical skills such as measuring, mixing, chopping, food preparation, and kitchen safety.
• Introduce students to nutrition, food science, culture, and geography through cooking.
• Encourage students to try new foods and build kitchen confidence.
• Create an inclusive environment where every child feels successful.
