Job summary

Sticky Fingers Cooking, LLC is hiring a part-time After School Children’s Cooking Instructor to bring hands-on, kid-friendly cooking classes to local schools and community sites. Classes run 2–5pm, with most sessions 3:00-4:30pm, and each class lasts about one hour.

You will teach engaging, cookbook-style recipes, introduce new ingredients, and help kids develop healthy eating habits. Training is provided and equipment is supplied. Fingerprint background check upon hire.

Qualifications

• Availability to teach at least 2 days a week (Mon-Fri, 2–5pm, most 3:00-4:30pm)
• Commitment to teaching weekly for 6–12 weeks
• Experience working with groups of kids of varying ages
• Ability to manage 8–14 children with diverse backgrounds
• Access to reliable transportation
• Punctual and reliable
• No professional cooking experience required
• ServSafe Food Handler Certification (can obtain before teaching)

Responsibilities

• Lead hour-long healthy and engaging cooking enrichment classes on-site at various locations
• Create recipes and teach kids about new ingredients and healthy foods worldwide
• Review weekly curricula and prepare for instruction, including shopping for fresh ingredients
• Teach basic kitchen skills: washing, cutting, grating, stirring, measuring, nutrition
