Job summary

SFC Chicagoland LLC dba Sticky Fingers Cooking® seeks a part-time After School Children’s Cooking Instructor to lead hour-long classes M–F between 2–5pm at various locations in the area. You’ll introduce kids (ages 3-12) to cooking, teamwork, and healthy eating through engaging, hands-on recipes.

You’ll prepare weekly curricula, shop for ingredients, and teach kitchen skills, nutrition, and world cuisines. Training and support are provided; fingerprint background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Availability at least 2 days a week (Mon–Fri, 2–5pm)
• Commitment to weekly sessions (6–12 weeks)
• Experience working with groups of kids
• Ability to manage 8–14 children
• Access to reliable transportation
• Timely communication with team
• Punctual and reliable
• No professional cooking experience required
• ServSafe certification can be obtained before teaching

Responsibilities

• Lead hour-long classes on-site at various locations in your area.
• Create weekly recipes and teach about ingredients and healthy foods from around the world.
• Review weekly curricula and prepare instruction; shop for fresh ingredients as needed.
• Teach basic kitchen skills and discuss nutrition, history, and cultures behind recipes.
