Job summary

MCHAP is seeking a Part-Time Chaplain for Crookston, MN. The role focuses on pastoral care for employees and their families, with regular site visits, confidential counseling, and support during bereavement and crises. The position requires Christian faith, interfaith sensitivity, and strong communication in a remote field setting.

Hours are 2–6 per week, with flexible scheduling. Candidates must be able to travel to client sites, coordinate with leadership, and provide resources and referrals

Qualifications

• Able to work in an interfaith setting and with diverse groups.
• Excellent listening, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong Christian faith and active church involvement.
• Professional diplomacy and confidentiality in sensitive matters.
• Comfort with travel to worksites and family locations as needed.
• Proficient with Google Suites or Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Visit company worksites regularly to build trust and community ties.
• Provide confidential pastoral conversations for employees and families.
• Assist in planning/attending funerals and post-loss support.
• Respond to emergencies and communicate with leadership as required.
• Support employee orientation and deliver requested ministry resources.
• Coordinate with EDO and adhere to agreement terms.
