Job summary

Marketplace Chaplains in Chester, IL seeks a part-time chaplain to support employees and their families on client sites. You will visit worksites weekly, provide confidential pastoral discussions, and offer resource referrals as needed.

The role requires Christian faith, ability to work across faiths, strong listening and communication skills, and discretion when handling sensitive family matters. Travel to client locations is expected.

Responsibilities

• Makes brief visits to company worksites regularly (usually weekly) to interact with employees and build trust.
• Provides confidential pastoral discussions for personal issues affecting employees and immediate family.
• Assists in planning, conducting or attending funerals for employees and family members.
• Works with companies to communicate death or serious injuries to families and employees.
• Provides post-termination care to ease transitions to new work environments.
• Distributes literature and resources to assist with life issues when requested.
