Job summary

Westerly Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a part-time Certified Medication Technician to support safe, accurate medication administration and resident care. You will work under licensed nursing supervision, administering a range of medications and documenting carefully to ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Medication Technician Certification in the state of employment.
• Must also be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA/HHA), as required.
• Previous Certified Medication Technician (CMT) experience required.
• Experience administering oral, topical, optic, ophthalmic medications, and subcutaneous injections.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents safely and accurately per physician orders and policies.
• Provide medications via oral, topical, ophthalmic, and subcutaneous routes.
• Observe and document resident responses and report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with basic resident care under licensed nursing supervision.
• Ensure medications are stored, secured, and accounted for in accordance with procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of medication administration and related resident care activities.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to promote resident-centered care.
