Job summary

Stillwater Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Community in Rhode Island seeks a compassionate Certified Medication Technician to join our care team. You will administer prescribed medications, support licensed nurses, monitor resident responses, and help with daily living activities.

Qualifications

• Certification as MT or CMA required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; higher education preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to lift/move residents and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and ordered by licensed nurses
• Monitor and report adverse reactions to medications or treatments
• Maintain accurate records of medication administration and resident responses
• Assist licensed nurses with vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, and insulin administration
• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assist with mealtime, including serving and feeding residents as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and dispose of waste
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support
