Job summary

Heritage Hills Rehabilitation &Healthcare Center is hiring a Certified Medication Technician for a full-time 3-11 shift. Daily pay and a shift differential up to $1.75 enhance the compensation package.

Responsibilities include safe med administration, documentation, and collaboration with the care team to support resident health and well-being. RN oversight and compliance with Rhode Island regulations are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Medication Technician/Aide Certification in Rhode Island.
• Must also be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA/HHA).
• Previous Certified Medication Technician (CMT) experience required.
• Experience administering oral, topical, optic, ophthalmic, and subcutaneous medications.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow clinical instructions accurately.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple residents in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents safely and accurately per orders and policies.
• Provide medications via oral, topical, optic, ophthalmic, and subcutaneous routes as allowed.
• Observe residents for responses and report changes or adverse reactions to nursing staff.
• Assist with basic resident care under licensed nursing staff guidance.
• Ensure medications are stored, secured, and accounted for per procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of medication administration and related care activities.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to promote resident-centered care and positive outcomes.
