Job summary

Westerly Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Certified Medication Technician for a part-time role in Rhode Island. You will administer medications safely under physician orders and regulations, with daily pay and competitive hourly compensation.

The position requires a valid Medication Technician/Aide Certification and CNA or CHHA/HHA qualification, plus prior CMT experience. You will work with a team to ensure resident health and well-being through accurate medication care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Medication Technician/Aide Certification in the state of employment.
• Must also be a CNA or CHHA/HHA as required.
• Previous Certified Medication Technician experience is required.
• Experience administering oral, topical, ophthalmic and subcutaneous meds.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents safely and accurately per orders and policies.
• Provide medications via multiple routes as allowed by certification.
• Observe residents for responses and report changes or adverse reactions.
• Assist with basic resident care under licensed nursing staff.
• Ensure proper storage, security, and accounting of medications.
• Maintain accurate documentation of medication administration and care activities.
• Collaborate with the care team for resident-centered outcomes.
