Job summary

University of Washington Medicine Primary Care at Woodinville is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant - Certified (MA-C) to join our team. The role supports primary care clinics with rooming, vital signs, injections, specimen handling, and coordination with providers to deliver high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will be WA-certified, have BLS CPR, and be able to obtain MA-C within 6 months. Hours include 7:30–3:30 shifts with some days off, and benefits associated with UW Medicine.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program accredited by CAAHEP/ABHES or other recognized accreditation.
• Must be WA State Medical Assistant-Certified or obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR card.
• Equivalent education/experience may substitute for minimum qualifications where legal requirements permit.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vital signs, and reconcile records.
• Perform injections.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms.
• Submit medication prior authorizations.
• Recognize symptoms and report to provider.
• Act as liaison between patient, family and providers.
• Assist provider with procedures and medical exams.
• Perform point-of-care testing and report abnormal lab values.
• Assist in transporting patients as required.
