Job summary

University of Washington Medicine Primary Care Ballard is hiring a Medical Assistant - Certified (MA-C) for a full-time, 100% FTE role. You will room patients, take vital signs, assist providers during procedures and manage pre-authorizations, with shifts Monday–Friday and occasional Saturday rotations in Ballard, Seattle.

The ideal candidate completed an accredited MA program, is WA MA-C certified or eligible within 6 months, and holds BLS CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES or other recognized regional/national accreditation board.
• Must be Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified or achieve designation within 6 months of hire.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vital signs, and reconcile records.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms; assist with injections and procedures.
• Submit medication prior authorizations; perform point-of-care testing and report results.
