Job summary

UW Medicine Primary Care Ravenna is seeking a certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) for a full-time, 40-hour week in Seattle. The role supports both Primary Care and OB/GYN, with rooming, vital signs, injections, and specimen handling among daily tasks.

You will also coordinate prior authorizations and act as a liaison between patients and providers. Ideal candidates have a Washington MA-C certification or eligibility, BLS, and experience in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program accredited by CAAHEP/ABHES or equivalent
• Must be Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified or achieve within 6 months of hire
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR required
• Equivalent education/experience may substitute for minimum qualifications

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vital signs, and reconcile records
• Perform injections
• Prepare and clean exam rooms
• Submit medication prior authorizations
• Recognize symptoms and report to provider
• Assist provider with procedures and exams
• Perform point of care testing and report abnormal results
• Transport patients as required
