UW Medical Center-Northwest is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support the Emergency Department with Point-of-Care testing, triage assistance, and room preparation. The role requires MA certification with WA state credentials or enrollment in the process within six months, plus BLS CPR.

Part-time 90% FTE (36 hours/week) with mid shifts, including 11am-11:30pm and 3pm-3:30am, and a shift differential pay structure.

Qualificações

• Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by CAAHEP/ABHES or other recognized board.
• Must be WA Medical Assistant-Certified or achieve designation within 6 months of hire.
• Valid American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR.

Responsabilidades

• Perform Point-of-Care (POC) testing, splinting, and wound care.
• Assist patients to exam rooms and document history, medications and vital signs.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms.
• Assist RN with triage process.
• Recognize symptoms of common medical illnesses and report to provider.
• Act as liaison between patient, family and providers.
• Assist provider with procedures and medical exams.
• Transport patients within hospital departments.
