Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or currently registered CMA preferred.
• CPR/BCLS certification required.
• Phlebotomy is involved and is a required skill.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must.
• Experience with patient management software and MS Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and schedule appointments.
• Record and verify patient information and prepare medical records.
• Take vital signs and assist practitioners with treatments.
• Obtain blood specimens and collect nonblood samples for lab testing.
• Disinfect and prepare treatment rooms and maintain equipment.
• Triage inquiries, answer phones, and manage messages.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
• Maintain accuracy of documentation in electronic health records.
