Job summary

Health Care Resource Centers seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to greet patients, schedule appointments, collect information, and take vital signs in an outpatient setting.

The role supports physicians, collects lab specimens, and prepares treatment rooms while maintaining records and coordinating with counselors. Phlebotomy is required, with CPR/BCLS certification and state/DEA regulation familiarity. 1–2 years of healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification/registration required.
• Phlebotomy is involved and required.
• CPR/BCLS certification required.
• Familiar with State Regulations, DEA regulations and accrediting bodies.
• 1-2 years of healthcare experience preferred.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and schedule appointments, collect personal information, and manage reception duties.
• Take vital signs and assist practitioners with examinations and procedures.
• Obtain blood and nonblood specimens for lab testing.
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain sanitation and equipment.
• Maintain medical records, triage calls, and coordinate with counselors.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
