This part-time, 16-hour-per-week day shift role supports physicians and nurses in a correctional healthcare setting, handling clinical and administrative tasks to ensure safe, efficient care.

The ideal candidate holds CMA certification, completed training, and has at least one year of experience in emergency or correctional services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or relevant qualification.
• Minimum one year experience in emergency or correctional service.
• Certified medical assistant with completed training program.
• Good understanding of medical and pharmacological terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses in a clinical setting.
• Administer medications and record daily medication to patients.
• Order stock medication and manage inventory.
• Reconcile daily medications with pharmacy orders.
• Distribute medications and rotate stock, returning outdated meds to pharmacy.
• Coordinate with nurses to assist patient care and document changes.
