VitalCore Health Strategies in Framingham, MA is hiring a Part-Time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for the Day Shift at MCI-Framingham. The CMA will support physicians and nurses, manage patient information, administer medications under state rules, and assist with clinical and administrative tasks in a correctional setting.

This role requires at least a CMA credential, one year of relevant emergency or correctional experience, and completion of a CMA training program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or relevant qualification.
• Minimum one year experience in emergency or correctional service.
• Must be a certified medical assistant with CMA training.
• CMA credential through AAMA, NHA or similar organization.
• Good understanding of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Provide medications and record daily doses for patients.
• Order stock medication within established inventory levels.
• Reconcile medications with pharmacy against orders.
• Distribute medications to storage areas and rotate stock.
• Coordinate with nurses to assist patient care and observe changes.
• Adhere to safety, universal precautions, and infection control.
