Job summary

NaphCare is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team of medical professionals in Marion County Jail, Ocala, FL. The CMA will work alongside correctional officers and other medical staff to provide care in a controlled environment, assisting physicians, taking histories, vital signs, and supporting admin tasks.

The position includes clinical duties, administrative duties, patient education, and opportunities for professional growth within a large correctional healthcare

Qualifications

• CMA Certification from an accredited program.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• BLS CPR certification, if required (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and document health histories.
• Take and record vital signs and basic labs as directed.
• Administer medications under physician supervision.
• Assist with patient examinations and procedures.
• Provide basic patient education and information.
