Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Phlebotomist/Central Processing Technician for our Boise Medical Center. The role involves collecting blood, correctly identifying patients, transporting specimens, and handling related clerical tasks in a part-time Evening Shift.

The ideal candidate has phlebotomy experience, hospital setting exposure, and good computer skills. Evening and night shifts receive an additional pay differential, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff.
• Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples and correctly identify patients.
• Transport specimens and perform related clerical and computer tasks.
• Register, order, collect, label, process, and distribute specimens for lab testing.
• Maintain data entry and act as central communication for lab requests.
