Job summary

Catholic Charities - Diocese of Trenton is seeking a part-time team member for IBHS Burlington - Riverbank in Burlington, NJ. You will assist in setting up the center, facilitate groups, and help clients access community resources.

This role supports clients, maintains records, schedules, and helps with daily operations. A high school diploma is required and some related experience is preferred; 20 hours per week with varied schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates Degree preferred.
• 1 year of related experience (work or volunteer) preferred.
• Peer certification training must be started within 6 months of date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up center each week; facilitate groups; assist clients with finding community resources; participate in monthly planning; maintains accurate records for stipends; provide support to members to help them resolve problems; other self-help duties as needed.
• Assists with conducting groups beneficial to clients’ needs and interests.
• Provides information and referral to clients as needed.
• Provides case management assistance, i.e. preparation/maintenance of weekly self-help reports as needed.
• Assists clients in identifying benefits, social and community services and helps clients obtain them.
• Assists or organize/lead client activities.
• Assists with crisis intervention as needed.
• Assist in the daily running of the center; ordering supplies, requesting stipends, planning monthly calendar and submitting monthly DMHAS reports.
• Shops for food/supplies needed for the RCWC.
• Other assignments as delegated by the site coordinator and/or program director
• Sets up and break down drinks each day and assist preparing and serving food.
