Qualifications

• Mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement; license continuously held for 3+ years.
• School bus (S) endorsement preferred.
• Age 21–80; drivers above 75 must submit CDL license & (P) endorsement annually.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in 5 years.
• Pass background check through LifeWise Academy.
• Complete drug/alcohol testing as required (pre-employment, random, post-accidents).
• Yearly Physician's Statement for drivers with medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules.
• Assist students entering or exiting the vehicle; stay calm and caring.
• Identify students needing help or misbehavior and respond appropriately.
• Complete LifeWise Academy training requirements.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if approved by the director.
