Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, KS is seeking a part-time catering aide to monitor food quality, assist with event setup, and ensure timely service across on-campus and off-campus locations. You will support banquet operations, maintain safety standards, and interact professionally with customers and vendors.

The role requires experience in high-volume food service, strong communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ catering or high-volume food service (Preferred)
• 1+ food service (Required)
• ServeSafe Certification (Preferred)
• Food Handler Certificate (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Monitor food quality, temperature, and presentation, taking corrective action as needed to meet standards for freshness, taste, and appearance.
• Support operational efficiency by organizing banquet spaces, managing inventory, and adhering to delivery and cleanup schedules in a fast-paced environment.
• Execute catered events and deliveries by setting up, serving, and maintaining food presentation across on-campus and off-campus locations.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards during preparation, transport, and service, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and organizational policies.
• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and team members to ensure timely service, accurate orders, and prompt resolution of issues.

Schedule

Must be available every other Sunday 7am - 3pm and Monday through Friday 5am- 5pm. Scheduled shifts will range from 3 - 8 hours.

Maintain food safety and sanitation standards during preparation, transport, and service, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and organizational policies. Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and team members to ensure timely service, accurate orders, and prompt resolution of issues.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $16.12 - $25.79
