Job summary

AdventHealth is hiring a part-time call center operator in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. You will manage high-volume calls, transfer to appropriate teams, and stay current with hospital procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year PBX/call center experience, strong communication, calm demeanor, and ability to multitask. This role requires flexibility, teamwork, and a patient-centered focus within a faith-based healthcare system.

Qualifications

• 1+ year pbx switchboard or call center experience preferred.
• Healthcare/hospital setting experience preferred.
• Attention to HIPAA and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Answer and transfer incoming calls promptly and accurately.
• Respond to codes, alerts, drills, and testing quickly and accurately.
• Document all event details in a timely and accurate manner.
• Communicate procedures efficiently and accurately.
• Assist with training new staff on call processing procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

• Other duties as assigned.
• Answers and transfers incoming calls promptly and accurately.
• Responds quickly and accurately to all codes, alerts, drills, and testing.
• Documents all event details in a timely and accurate manner.
• Executes all communications efficiently and accurately.
• Stays current and knowledgeable in all applicable hospital, code, and departmental procedures.
• Assists with training new staff members on call processing procedures.

Education

Work Experience

• 1+ year experience in a hospital and/or a medical / healthcare setting [Preferred]
• 1+ year pbx switchboard/operator, call center – high call volume environment, clerical/administrative, hospitality, and/or customer service-focused experience [Required]
• 1+ years experience [Required]
