Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Dietary Aide to guide patients through meal ordering and ensure diet accuracy. You will verify patient information, confirm tray contents, and assist with service recovery to improve patient satisfaction.

You will assemble and deliver trays per therapeutic diet guidelines, while maintaining safety, efficiency, and a clean work area during long shifts. English proficiency is required; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and comprehend English.
• Professional communication with customers in person and over the phone.
• Experience with customer interactions in a prompt, courteous manner is required.
• Basic proficiency with common software and hardware (iPad, ToughBook).
• Therapeutic diets knowledge is preferred.
• Nutritional Services software knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through the meal ordering process using a computerized system.
• Verify patient identifiers and ensure tray accuracy.
• Address and resolve foodservice concerns, with service recovery as needed.
• Assemble and deliver trays per therapeutic diet guidelines.
• Work up to 12-hour shifts and maintain a clean, compliant environment.

Job Description:

Guide patients through the meal ordering process using a computerized diet office system, ensuring selections align with prescribed diets and enhancing satisfaction through personalized suggestions. Verify patient identifiers during meal delivery, ensure tray accuracy, and confirm patients have everything they need before leaving the room to support a positive dining experience. Round on patients and nursing staff to identify and resolve foodservice concerns, taking ownership of complaints and implementing service recovery to improve patient experience scores. Assemble and deliver trays according to therapeutic diet guidelines and presentation standards, maintaining timely and accurate service across all patient areas. Perform physically active duties including walking long distances, standing for extended periods, and working up to 12-hour shifts while maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work environment. Other duties as assigned.

Hours:

40 hours per week/11:15am - 8am and every other weekend
