Navy Exchange Service Command seeks a Cashier at the NEX Little Creek location. You will be the face of the store, engaging customers, processing transactions at a POS, and guiding shoppers to promotions and services.

Experience is not required, but strong interpersonal skills and reliability are essential. Candidates should be prepared for a varied schedule, with emphasis on customer service, accuracy in cash handling, and maintaining a neat checkout area.

Formación

• Knowledge of Point-of-Sale systems.
• Retail or relevant work experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to read, write and interpret instructions.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division; able to make change.
• Ability to multi-task, work in a team and adapt to customer needs.

Responsabilidades

• Proactively engage and connect with customers.
• Ask questions and listen to customer needs.
• Direct customers to merchandise and inform them about events, promotions, STAR card.
• Maintain checkout area appearance and assist with stocking and restocking bags/packing materials.
• Process transactions using POS, including cash handling and issuing change.
• Complete paperwork, reports, and reconciliation as required.
• Be responsible for merchandise, inventory processes and ticketing as needed.
