Job summary

IGA Market is seeking part-time staff to support sales, cashiering and cash office tasks in a busy grocery setting. You will handle sales, cash transactions, deposits, and daily cash counts while ensuring security and accuracy.

The role emphasizes guest service, teamwork and reliability in a fast-paced front-end environment. Ideal candidates are 18+, able to lift weights, stand for long periods, and operate store systems.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality and good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well with others and supervise hosts as needed.
• Physically able to lift 25 lb occasionally and 15 lb constantly.
• Basic reading, comprehension and direction-following skills.
• Knowledge of front-end operations and cashier processes.
• Demonstrated math skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and guest service abilities.
• Must be 18 years or older and able to stand for long periods.
• Ability to use computers and store systems.

Responsibilities

• Sales, cash handling and invoice accounting tasks.
• Cash-related activities including deposits and payroll-related checks.
• Maintain cash office security and tills accountability.
• Prepare reports and perform till audits and accuracy checks.
• Maintain front-end schedules to ensure guest service levels.
• Process guest orders and support a No Noticeable Wait policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
